Biography

Dr. Deepak Mishra is a well renowned orthopaedic and Knee/Joint Replacement Surgeon well known for his immaculate skills and impeccable patient care. He is also a very keen teacher and has been regularly teaching undergraduate, postgraduate and non-medical staff in India and abroad.

He has been recognized for his contribution in the field of Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement and has been included in the list of Marquis “who is who” in the field of medicine and healthcare for year 2009-2010. He has presented his work in national and international conferences and has publications in peer reviewed journals to his credit.

Dr. Deepak Mishra completed his MBBS and MS (orthopaedics) from JIPMER, Pondicherry which is one the most prestigious medical college of India.

After successful completion of his orthopaedic training in India, he moved to UK for higher surgical training in the field of Joint Replacement and Arthroscopy. He obtained membership of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and M Ch in trauma and orthopaedics during his training at UK. He was also conferred Fellowship in trauma and orthopaedics from International College of Surgeons.

Dr. Mishra obtained extensive training in field of Hip and Knee replacements during his stint in UK and has since performed over 6000 joint replacement surgeries. He specializes in limb reconstruction surgeries for complex hip and knee deformities and failed primary hip and knee replacement surgeries using latest available technologies.

Dr. Mishra uses key-hole technique (Arthroscopy) for management of acute and chronic conditions around knee including ACL reconstruction, meniscal injuries, removal of loose body and joint debridement.

Dr. Mishra has got vast experience in managing complex fractures and fracture related complications using AO principles. He routinely uses minimally invasive technique and tissue preserving technique for his surgeries.

After returning to India, he worked as Joint Replacement Surgeon and Head of Unit at Yashoda Hospital, Somajiguda, Hyderabad, Medanta - The Medicity, Gurugram and as Hip and Knee Replacement Surgeon at Dr. LH Hiranandani Hospital, Powai, Mumbai.

Presently he is the Director and Head, Joint Replacement Surgeon at Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, Faridabad
